The Directors Guild of Cyprus has been offering high quality training for professionals in the field of directing since its establishment. It provides Directors a range of masterclasses, seminars and workshops aiming to educate, inform and inspire them. They are offered at a discount to Guild members but are also open to the public. Successful events in the past include workshops with award-winning Greek Director Pantelis Voulgaris and masterclasses with acclaimed Cypriot Cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos and award-winning Documentary Filmmaker Giorgos Avgeropoulos.

The Directors Guild of Cyprus also organises an annual Film Festival, presenting work created by Cypriot filmmakers, an event open to all with a free entrance. It also participates in Lemesos International Documentary Festival, a festival dedicated to promoting creative documentaries and the organisation of workshops and lectures.

In addition, the Guild offers a number of networking opportunities for members throughout the year, events such as formal or informal get-togethers with film, TV and multi-media professionals.
